{"id":8454,"date":"2014-11-26T21:22:52","date_gmt":"2014-11-26T20:22:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/whatsonni.com\/news\/?p=8454"},"modified":"2014-11-26T21:23:26","modified_gmt":"2014-11-26T20:23:26","slug":"8454","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/whatsonni.com\/news\/2014\/11\/8454\/","title":{"rendered":"Jacqueline&#8217;s Pick of What&#8217;s On This Week Across NI"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Down<\/h1>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/whatsonni.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/Pick-of-the-Week1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-7680\" title=\"Pick of the Week!\" src=\"https:\/\/whatsonni.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/Pick-of-the-Week1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"137\" height=\"64\" \/><\/a>Holywood Christmas lights switch on by the Mayor of North Down takes place at\u00a0 4.30pm this Saturday at Holywood Library, with Christmas themed activities throughout the town and in Holywood Library from 11.00am to 6.00pm including a Christmas market and family entertainment.<\/p>\n<h1>Armagh<\/h1>\n<p>Armagh\u2019s much loved Georgian Day returns for its eleventh year on Saturday 29<sup>th<\/sup> November, to mark the beginning of the Christmas season.\u00a0\u00a0See Armagh in all its festive glory, sparkling with lights as the City goes back to its Georgian roots.\u00a0\u00a0Adding to Armagh\u2019s established retail offering will be over 50 festive stalls, hosted by traders in Georgian costumes, lining the streets for a unique experience that cannot be missed.<\/p>\n<h1>Fermanagh<\/h1>\n<p>Share Discovery Village will be hosting a Christmas food and craft fair on Saturday the 29th of November from 12noon-4.00pm. \u00a0Stalls are available for sellers for \u00a315. \u00a0It promises to be a great family fun day out with Santa arriving and a bouncy castle for the kids. \u00a0Stock up on your Christmas shopping!<\/p>\n<h1>Tyrone<\/h1>\n<p>Omagh\u2019s Christmas lights will be switched on this Thursday 27<sup>th<\/sup> November. Entertainment will begin at 6.30pm with music by the Whistling Donkeys, St Connors PS Choir and local singer Sinead Taggart. Special guest this year is Nathan Carter and his band with the evening concluding with fun and Christmas festivities with Santa himself parading through High Street. The Christmas lights will be switched on at 8pm. To facilitate the switch on event, a temporary street closure on High Street will be in operation from approximately 4.30pm \u2013 9.00pm.<\/p>\n<h1>Derry<\/h1>\n<p>Magherafelt District Council will once again be serving up a treat with their Speciality Christmas Market which will run over three days \u00a0from Friday 28<sup>th<\/sup> November (6pm-10pm), Saturday 29<sup>th<\/sup> (10am-10pm) and Sunday 30<sup>th<\/sup> (2pm-6pm). In addition, Magherafelt Council has arranged FREE car parking in the Pay and Display Car Parks from Thursday 27<sup>th<\/sup> November until Sunday 30<sup>th<\/sup> November 2014.\u00a0 On Saturday the 29th November at 7.00pm join Cool FM for a captivating evening of festive fun, with prize giveaways and the arrival of Santa and a fanfare of fireworks. Together these events will bring a fabulous atmosphere to Magherafelt and an even better aroma.<\/p>\n<h1>Antrim<\/h1>\n<p>Join Mr Hullabaloo, Jingles, and a sparking cast of characters at the Courtyard Theatre Newtownabbey in an enchanted world of princesses, fairy godmothers and magic spells.\u00a0 The team that brought you Cinderella, Aladdin, Snow White and Jack and the Beanstalk returns with a brand new production of Sleeping Beauty that will have you singing, dancing and clapping along! Sleeping Beauty opens Friday 28<sup>th<\/sup> November.<\/p>\n<h1>Belfast<\/h1>\n<p>Jack and the Beanstalk is brought to life by a fabulous cast of larger than life characters this year at the Waterfront Hall this Christmas. Children will love being part of this magical adventure as it unfolds, cheering the goodies, booing the baddies and joining in with the catchy sing-along songs!
