Leaving Portandoo Harbour at Landsdowne, around the Skerries and back to Portandoo harbour. www.ccka.co.uk<\/p>\n<p><strong>2.00pm \u2013 3.00pm<\/strong> Tour of the historic Joseph Soar lifeboat\t&#8211; on the Quayside<\/p>\n<p>JOSEPH SOAR is a Watson Class Motor Lifeboat of timber construction with twin Gardner diesel engines model 5LW.She was built by J Samuel White of Cowes, Isle of Wight in 1962 and placed on service at St Davids in 1963. In 1985\u00a0she was transferred to Dunbar and in 1988 transferred to Shoreham Harbour. \u00a0Withdrawn from service in 1990 and sold out of service in 1992. Throughout her life with the RNLI JOSEPH SOAR was launched 135 times and saved 135 lives.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2.00pm \u2013 5.00pm<\/strong> Coleraine &amp; District Historic Vehicle Club Cavalcade\t&#8211; display of cars and bikes at Kerr Street Green<\/p>\n<p><strong>2.00pm \u2013 5.00pm<\/strong> Portrush \u2013 a Historical Dander in Pictures\t&#8211; Portrush Yacht Club<\/p>\n<p>There will be a historical display of old photographs of Portrush harbour and the surrounding area going back as far as 1900. They will give a fascinating view of what the harbour looked like and the characters that lived, worked and played there, most of them ancestors of present Portrush families. The photographs will be displayed in the first floor training room and everyone is welcome to come in and take a step back in time in Portrush.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2.00pm<\/strong> West Bay Open Water Swim (1km) ILDSA<\/p>\n<p>Following the briefing at 2.00pm, the swimmers will be dropped off at Blackrock (Island Dhu) by boat to swim the 1km\u00a0back to the harbour, finishing at the slipway on the North Pier. Competitors are not permitted to wear wetsuits!\u00a0This challenging event usually attracts entrants from all over Ireland so come along and show your support.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2.00pm<\/strong> Paddle Board Challenge in the Harbour<\/p>\n<p>Come and watch the mayhem unfold with a series of short races and fun paddle board challenges taking place around the\u00a0lifeboat. This promises to offer good fun and enjoyment to both spectators and participants. It will also showcase the growing sport of paddle boarding in the local area.\u00a0Troggs Surf School will be on hand at the \u2018wee beach\u2019 to offer paddle board taster sessions at 2.00pm (small donation to the RNLI).Come down and have a go or support the race challengers from 3.00pm onwards.<br \/>\n<em> <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The Crew of Portrush Lifeboat Station would like to extend a warm welcome to all visitors to our town.<\/em><br \/>\n<em>We would like to ensure holiday makers have a great time as well as a safe time and would ask that they observe simple safety\u00a0rules when playing on the beautiful beaches:<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8211; inflatables are dangerous. \u00a0Never let children play on their own with inflatables.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8211; keep an eye on children at all times.
