{"id":9400,"date":"2015-06-25T15:17:38","date_gmt":"2015-06-25T14:17:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/whatsonni.com\/news\/?p=9400"},"modified":"2015-06-25T15:19:21","modified_gmt":"2015-06-25T14:19:21","slug":"robots-arrive-at-titanic-belfast","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/whatsonni.com\/news\/2015\/06\/robots-arrive-at-titanic-belfast\/","title":{"rendered":"ROBOTS Arrive at Titanic Belfast"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>One of Europe\u2019s largest privately owned collections of robots, cyborgs and androids have arrived at Titanic Belfast today for its ROBOTS Summer exhibition, which will run from 26<sup>th<\/sup> June \u2013 13th September.<\/h1>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/whatsonni.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/press26.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-9401\" title=\"press\" src=\"https:\/\/whatsonni.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/press26.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"448\" height=\"298\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The collection of movie props and costumes, including Iron Man, R2-D2 and T-800 from Terminator, which are on loan from the Museum of Movie Magic, Scotland, have taken centre stage at Titanic Belfast\u2019s ROBOTS exhibition.<\/p>\n<p>Thousands of visitors are expected to travel from far and wide to enjoy the eclectic collection from props used on-screen to personal robots, toys and sculptures.<br \/>\nWith over 50 robots on display, the exhibition has something for children and adults alike. Film fans won\u2019t be disappointed with Sonny from I,Robot, the B9 robot from Lost in Space and the cyborg RoboCop on the bill.\u00a0 Enduring family favourites such as the stars from Star Trek, Red Dwarf and Robby the Robot from Forbidden Plant are also on display.<br \/>\nFor those who prefer \u2018the dark side\u2019, robots like ABC robot from Judge Dredd and a Sontaran from Doctor Who are awaiting Northern Ireland visitors at the largest ROBOT exhibition in Northern Ireland this Summer.<\/p>\n<p>Don Jack, curator of the ROBOTS exhibition, \u201cWe are delighted to bring ROBOTS to Titanic Belfast.
