Barbican

Romantic in appearance and setting, and approached by a bridge over the Glenarm river, the Barbican comprises a three storey block with a roof terrace, with a picnic bench which affords significant views over the surrounding countryside.

Built in 1825, The Barbican Gatelodge is a miniature medieval castle. It is a perfect romantic hideaway in one of Ulster’s oldest villages.

The tower has 1 Double room, sleeps 2. The bed is really comfortable and the deep bath is a pure luxury after a long day touring the Antrim Coast and Glens.

The kitchen is small but perfectly appointed for preparing simple meals and the welcoming fireside is a cosy spot to curl up with a good book.
