Tory Bush Cottages- No.4

Tory Bush Cottages are situated outside Bryansford village overlooking the northern slopes of the Mourne Mountains. Tollymore Forest Park is only metres away - location for many Film and TV shoots e.g. “The Game of Thrones”, “Dracula Untold” and “The Fall”.
House 4 “Meelbeg” and House 3 “Meelmore” are build on the site of the old farmhouse at Tory Bush Cottages, the original cornerstones can still be seen. These houses are more individual in design than the other cottages on the site. Meelbeg sleeps up to five persons with a twin/double room on the ground floor, which has a en-suite shower-room. Upstairs there is a second twin/double room and a single room, both having wash hand-basins, there is also a small bathroom on the upstairs landing.
Downstairs there is a large sitting room with an open fire and chimney-breast rising up to the vaulted ceiling. Off the living room to the right of the fireplace is a small kitchen with fridge-freezer washing machine, dishwasher electric oven and gas hob. There is a patio door at the side of the living room leading out to a private garden with a patio, barbecue table and picnic bench. The cottages are all WiFi enabled with Freesat TV, video and DVD; baby cots, stair gates and high chairs are also available. Walkers can reach the mountains from the cottages using our own path and quiet country road or take advantage of the local Shuttle bus drop off service that operates in the Mourne area. For cyclists, there are bicycles for hire on site with storage and wash facility for your own bike.
Tory Bush Cottages are an ideal base for exploring Northern Ireland, Belfast and the Titanic Centre is an hour away and the Giants Causeway two hours. There is lots to see and do in the local area from the new Castlewellan purpose built bike and walking trails, Murlough Beach and nature reserve, and the nearby seaside town of Newcastle with its award winning promenade, cafes, restaurants and welcoming gastro pubs.

In 2015 Tory Bush Cottages were awarded a Gold Award in the Green Tourism Business Scheme.
