Gosford Forest Park

Gosford Forest Park comprises some 240 hectares of diverse woodland and open parkland. It is managed by Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council and is open 365 days per year. The park is an adventure paradise for all the family. Enjoy facilities including playparks, family mountain bike, horse and walking trails and a pump track. For playparks, Little Explorers is suitable for up to 5 years old and is an open grassy area, enclosed with a willow hedge. Climb the challenging Woodpeckers Nests, moving from one to the other and watching out for the eggs. At the Squirrels Drey move from tree to tree using ropes, swings and ladders, suitable for age 7+. Face the fearsome giant who stands over 6ft tall. Climb up his fingers and slide off his back. Take an aerial ride from the Castle Tower on two zip lines which give great views of the Castle itself. To view trail maps for biking, equestrian and walking/running please see https://getactiveabc.com/facility/gosford-forest-park/#activities All Out Trekking is available at the park and provides an inclusive opportunity for people of all abilities (age 12+) to access the forest’s walking and mountain biking trails using an off road, battery powered vehicle. To find out more about All Out Trekking and to book please email allouttrekking@dsni.co.uk or call 028 9046 9925. Aside from the wide ranging activities, keep your eyes peeled for the woodland animals, birds and insects that live here; red squirrels, woodpeckers, herd of deer and butterflies to name a few. Gosford Castle itself still remains, and is now a private residence which once featured in Game of Thrones. Other facilities on site include toilets with both disabled and baby changing facilities, BBQ spaces and picnic tables, caravan and campsite (book online) with exciting new glamping pods and catering concessions (times may vary).
