The Sea Bangor festival will mark the 80th Anniversary of The D-Day Landing with a 1940s themed programme on Saturday 1 June (12noon – 6pm) and Sunday 2 June (1pm-6pm). This celebration of the City of Bangor’s maritime heritage returns to the seafront with nautical fun on and off the water!

Quay Street Car Park area will take on a distinctly holiday atmosphere with 1940s themed fun.

Enjoy kids’ activities at the beach area, funfair rides, and browse an array of classic vehicles. There will be lots of maritime fun, and entertainment throughout the weekend. A great programme of music acts will bring a nostalgic feel with a lively mix of 40s, 50s and 60s favourites.

Head to Eisenhower Pier to watch some great food demo’s and fantastic on-the-water activities.

Pick up some delicious treats from a range of local food and drink stalls, hot food trucks, ice-cream, and even an outdoor bar!

It will be the perfect weekend to soak up some maritime fun in the City of Bangor by the sea.

Leading Ladies Trio and Soda Popz

Soda Popz | The sensational Soda Popz, featuring Bangor singers Michelle and Matt Forsythe and local musicians, bring their high energy, nostalgic Rock'n'Roll show to the seafront this June, offering an authentic tribute to the fabulous hits of the 1950s/50s. 

Leading Ladies | Northern Ireland’s Premier Vocal Harmony Trio. Award-winning singers, Michelle Baird, Ceara Grehan and Lynne McAllister have brought their rich voices, unique harmonies and versatility to the stage as The Leading Ladies for twenty years, performing a broad range of musicals styles including classical, celtic, musical theatre, vintage swing and everything in between!  Saturday 1 June  12:15 – 2:15   - Leading Ladies Trio  3:15 – 5:15 – Soda Popz   Sunday 2 June 1pm – 3pm – Soda Popz  4pm – 6pm – Leading ladies Trio 

Free to attend (there will be a charge for some activities at the event).

By car | Do you plan to drive to the event?  Allow plenty of time for your journey. If you are travelling by car follow directional road signs to Bangor City Centre, and check out what car parking is available in the city (free and charged). 

Car parking | Ards and North Down Borough Council

Quay Street Car Park will be closed from Tuesday 28 May, reopening on Wednesday 5 June to allow for set up and take down of the event.

Public Transport | The nearest rail and bus station is Bangor, located in the City Centre, approx 10 minute walk from the seafront down/up a slight incline. For information on timetables, visit Translink.co.uk

Event site | Useful information

Accessibility | All flat surfaces on hard concrete. Disabled parking available in city centre car parks, check available car parking (free and charged). A guide to the local car parks. South Pier Toilets and Portaloos on site. Accessoloo will be in attendance both days.

Dogs | Well behaved dogs are permitted under the supervision of their owners and must remain on lead at all times.
