Heritage Crafts: Felt Making

Join us at Hill of The O’Neill & Ranfurly house on Saturday 28 September to explore the oldest form of fabric making which predates weaving and knitting.   The workshop will be facilitated by Andrea Hayes, an experienced and talented local textile artist who will guide participants step by step through the process of wet felt making and needle felted techniques to create a bespoke felted A4 art piece.

Participants will have access to an array of colours of dyed merino and effect wool fibres.  If you have an image you would like to create, please bring along on the day or you can choose from a range of examples shown.  No experience necessary and all equipment and materials are supplied.
