The Industrial Heritage of South Tyrone: Land, Linen and Labour - Dr Fearghal Mac Bhloscaidh

Dr Fearghal Mac Bhloscaidh’s talk will focus on land ownership across South Tyrone, the growth of the linen trade in this area, and the beginnings of the organisation of labour at a time of political change.

Fearghal Mac Bhloscaidh holds a PhD from Queen’s University, Belfast.  He is a lecturer at St Mary’s University College, Belfast. He is the author of “The Irish Revolution, 1912-23, Tyrone” and “Fenians and Ribbonmen: The Development of Republican Politics in East Tyrone, 1898-1918”.
