Dave Duggan is a novelist and dramatist based in Derry whose career spans the page, the stage, and the screen. His novel Oak and Stone was listed among the best international detective novels of the year in 2019 by The Irish Times and works such as The Greening of Larry Mahon (2004) and A Sudden Sun (2012) reflect his versatile storytelling. His stage dramas including Gruagairí (2007) and Makaronik (2014) were produced by Aisling Ghéar Theatre Company and his theatre work has been showcased from New York to Afghanistan.
His film and television contributions include the Oscar-nominated Dance Lexie Dance (Raw Nerve Productions, 1996). Duggan has just published Journeywork, A Creative Life, a collection of essays which continues to explore his creative themes.
