Writing the World As You Know It with Malachi O'Doherty

Malachi O’Doherty hosts a workshop on writing nonfiction. Your resources will be your memory, your curiosity, and your camera phone. You will be given exercises in how to write stories from your life and the lives of others, through reflection on your own experience and interviewing others. This workshop will also look at how to gather detail for your story through photographic note-taking and how to read a picture for the fine detail that lifts descriptive writing.

Malachi O’Doherty is the author of twelve published books, most of them non-fiction and memoir led. He writes weekly columns for The Belfast Telegraph and The Irish Post.
