After his stellar performance with John Cooper Clarke last May, Mike Garry returns to Seamus Heaney HomePlace, this time with a classical string quartet.
Mike Garry and The Cassia String Quartet have played together for 10 years. They made UK Number one with homage to Factory Records owner, St. Anthony: An Ode to Anthony H Wilson, worked with New Order, Philip Glass, The Charlatans, Daughter and Orbital to name just a few, and released their first studio album in 2024. Their combination of spoken word and classical music has created a totally new sound. Mike Joyce of The Smiths attests, ‘no words by me or anyone can truly describe how unique they are to watch live.’
