A Myth of the Last Wolf is an exhibition by internationally renowned artist Karen Daye-Hutchinson. Each print in the show is a gateway into an imagined mythology. Animals appear as messengers or witnesses, their forms dissolving into human gestures and vice versa.

The landscapes they inhabit are fractured and dreamlike, haunted by traces of conflict, tenderness, and the slow erosion of time.

Karen Daye-Hutchinson studied Fine Art at the Art College, Belfast, and Manchester School of Art.

In 2021 she was elected a member of the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers (ARE) and a member of the Royal Ulster Academy of Arts (ARUA). She has been awarded the fellowship for The Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers Residency at the Scuola Internazionale di Grafica in Venice.

In 2018 she was elected to the prestigious Prism Print International, and in 2019 was artist in Residence at Empreinte Atelier De Gravure, Luxembourg. She has received many awards and commissions from a variety of institutions and her work is represented in numerous public and private collections.

Karen his been represented in solo and group exhibitions both nationally and internationally, including Germany, France, Luxembourg, America, Canada and Japan.

You can also buy art from this exhibition through the Own Art scheme which gives you an interest-free loan over 10 months (and you still get to take the art home immediately the exhibition ends).
