The festival celebrates not just literature, but also history, music, visual arts, and the creative spirit in all its forms, bringing together a vibrant mix of authors, musicians, artists, thinkers and literary enthusiasts from across the Ireland and beyond for a weekend of conversation, performance and inspiration in one of Northern Ireland’s most enchanting settings, in the heart of Seamus Heaney country.
Festival speakers include award winning and celebrated writers Jung Chang, Lionel Shriver, Carlo Gebler, Martina Devlin, Shauna Lawless, Lyndsy Spence, Rebecca Brownlee, Emma Heatherington, Adrian Tinniswood and James Murphy. Kathy Clugston, Stephen Walker and Martin Doyle are amongst the celebrated journalists and commentators who will take part in stimulating panel discussions about contemporary culture and world affairs with Andy Heyn, in association with the Mitchell Institute at Queen’s University.
Our charity partner is Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice, and we look forward to raising funds for this important cause for a second year.
