Join the Ulster Orchestra for a performance with their new Principal Guest Artist, the extraordinary clarinettist and conductor Michael Collins. Michael will take on both roles in this concert, which will be a joyous celebration of the wonderful musical connection between him and the Orchestra.

Memories and ghosts of the past hover behind and inspire all of the music you will hear, from Schubert’s elegant and poised tribute to Mozart, to Finzi’s heartfelt and emotional response to World War I. Uzbek-born composer Elena Kats-Chernin’s driving Zoom and Zip draws on childhood memories of music heard in Russia and the concert opens with one of classical music’s best-loved works, Mendelssohn’s gloriously evocative depiction of a visit to the Scottish coast.
