This welcoming workshop will help you identify your strengths, test ideas and take the first steps towards self-employment, no previous experience required.
Ideal for those on a career break, carers or retirees who want to earn without a formal job.
This session is designed to remove the pressure and show that starting small is not only acceptable but often the smartest way to begin.
Participants will explore how everyday skills, interests and lived experience can form the foundation of a viable side-hustle.
The focus is on realistic income ideas that fit around existing commitments, energy levels and life circumstances.
You will leave with practical next steps, greater confidence and a clearer sense of what earning on your own terms could look like.
This online Go Succeed Drop-In Session is delivered in partnership with Mid Ulster District Council
This workshop is part of a series of business support sessions aimed at people who are economically inactive, meaning they are not currently in work and not actively looking for a job.
This may include people who are long term sick or disabled, carers, parents without access to childcare, students who are not working, early retirees, or those facing barriers such as confidence, transport, or digital access.
Some participants may receive benefits, others may not, but all are considered outside the active labour market.

This event will be hosted by Tina Calder, a seasoned marketing strategist, mentor, and AI trainer, specialising in helping businesses craft compelling messages, enhance their brand visibility, and drive measurable results.
As the founder and Chief Vision Officer of Excalibur Press and Entrepreneurs Unleashed, she has extensive experience mentoring entrepreneurs and organisations.
Tina is a business mentor and delivery agent for Go Succeed and the project lead for this series of Go Succeed In Business events, she is passionate about guiding entrepreneurs to maximise their marketing and business potential.
