Shepherd’s Knitting is a traditional textile technique with deep historical roots and is known today as Tunisian Crochet. This craft produces a distinctive, dense fabric and was historically valued for its warmth and durability.

In this 4-week course with Nancy Moreland from Nifty Needles, participants will learn modern Tunisian Crochet techniques using a long crochet hook and will explore this unique blend of crochet and knitting-style construction.

Please note this is a crochet-based course, not knitting. Participants must be confident with the basic skills of crochet (chaining, holding a yarn and hook, and maintaining tension). No knitting experience required. This course is NOT suitable for knitters with no crochet experience.  A full list of materials will be circulated in advance of night one.
