A native of Lurgan, Co. Armagh, Michael McCaughley studied with Brigid and Philip Walton before attending the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London where he completed a Bachelors in classical viola under Mark Knight. He is a member of the RSO symphony orchestra and chamber music ensemble Concordance in Paris.
