Breastival returns to south Belfast for its tenth year

Breastival, Northern Ireland's award-winning family festival celebrating breastfeeding and parenting, takes place on Saturday 1 August 2026 at Drumglass Park (Cranmore Park), south Belfast, from 12pm to 4pm.

Now in its tenth year, Breastival is a free, family friendly event open to all ages. It welcomes pregnant women, parents, babies and young children, wider family members, health professionals, friends and supporters.

Entry is free, but tickets are required and can be booked via Eventbrite at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/breastival-2026-tickets-1989689944184

The event includes a Big Latch On at 12.30pm, when breastfeeding families are invited to gather together in a shared show of visibility and support.

Also taking place on the day:

A parent’s market, with vendors curated by Little Fox Event Co

A community tent hosting charities, peer support groups, government organisations and the milk bank

A baby disco with a DJ

Circus skills performers and messy play for children

     Quieter activities, including baby reflexology

A rhyme session with North Belfast Sure Start

Food vendors, all of whom are breastfeeding friendly and do not sell formula

A picnic space for families to relax

Breastival began in 2017 and has grown into one of Northern Ireland's most loved community events, attracting 1,300 people in 2025. The festival aims to normalise and celebrate breastfeeding, and to create a welcoming space for all families, regardless of how they choose to feed their babies.
