Pat Larry's Self Catering Cottage

Pat Larry's is a traditional family homestead nestled in the Owenkillew River Valley with stunning panoramic views of the Sperrin Mountains and rustic Tyrone countryside.

This family owned cottage, part of a small working farm for over 200 years has been recently renovated and tastefully transformed into a self-catering cottage with a wealth of modern amenities.

Pat Larry’s Cottage is an ideal base for anyone hoping to visit the village of Greencastle, the hamlet of Glenhull, the Ogham Stone in Aughascribba or the nearby Broughderg area.

This cottage is located in the foothills of the Sperrin Mountains - known for their untouched natural beauty, their history, folklore and archaeological treasures.

Weekly rates vary from £250 to £450 per week subject to time of the year. Shorter stays are possible subject to availability from £50 per night. This includes a welcome pack, electricity, heating, linen, towels, WiFi, day to day farm activities, and one bag of turf for the solid fuel stove.

Getting to the start by car

Directions from Town:
From Omagh: Take the A505 Road for Cookstown and travel for approx. 8miles. Take left for Greencastle, opposite the Cemex entry. Drive for approx. 3 and half miles along this road until you come to Greencastle Crossroads. There is Eddies Pub on the left hand side and The Costcutter Shop on the right. Drive straight through the Crossroads and go past St Patricks Church and the Greencastle Sports Fields. After approximately 1 mile you pass large farm sheds on the right and continue on to the second set of farm sheds where you will see the sign for Pat Larry’s Cottage on your right. Turn right and go down the lane to the bottom which curves right and you will see the cottage and outhouses in front of you. From Cookstown: Take the A505 for Omagh and drive approx. 13 miles. Take right onto the B46 (Vivo Shop on right hand side of the road) for Greencastle. Travel approx. 4 miles until you arrive at Greencastle Crossroads - The Costcutter Shop and Eddies Bar will be down on your left hand side. Turn right at the Crossroads and go past St Patricks Church and the Greencastle Sports Fields. After approximately 1 mile you pass large farm sheds on the right and continue on to the second set of farm sheds where you will see the sign for Pat Larry’s Cottage on your right. Turn right and go down the lane to the bottom which curves right and you will see the cottage and outhouses in front of you. From Draperstown: Take the Six Towns Road south towards Broughderg, Greencastle and Gortin. After approx. 10 miles along a narrow road you come to come to a T junction which is Gorticashel Rd. Turn right and go to Glenhull, less than half a mile, where you turn left onto the Greencastle Road. Go past a small housing development on the left and at the top of the hill follow the road until you will see farm sheds on your left and a sign for Pat Larry’s Cottage. Turn left down the lane to the bottom which curves right and you will see the cottage and outhouses in front of you.
