Autumn Fair

Autumn family event at The Ballance House. Lisburn & Banbridge Ukes, local ukulele orchestra, will provide merriment and happy singalongs from 12 noon, followed by music from Glenavy Accordion Band in the afternoon. 

Free children’s L’il Magic Shows and fun arts & crafts for the kids.  Tours of the 19th century Parlour and Exhibition, Craft Fair and wood turning demos, plus a range of fresh apples, pears and juice for sale.  Warming soups, apple pie and more in the Tea Barn plus our very popular Kiwi Sausage Sizzle.

Disabled access to House & Tea Barn. Free car parking.   Well-behaved dogs welcome on leads outside.

Join a guided tour of the House and Ulster-New Zealand Exhibition to find out who John Ballance was, plus step back in time into the Victorian Parlour, the ‘good room’ of our great grandparents.  Take a look at the restored 19th century farm machinery used in rural Ulster.

With its original features, historic artefacts and colourful heritage exhibitions all ages enjoy an outing to The Ballance House. The home to links, past and present, between Ulster and NZ.
