Introduction to Botanical Inks

Join local artist, Hannah Clegg, for an Introduction to Botanical Inks workshops. During this workshop Hannah will guide you through the basic steps of creating simple, natural inks from plant materials that have been foraged locally this Autumn season. Experimenting with the inks that have been made, you will find out how to achieve a diverse colour range through the addition of an acid (e.g. lemon) or an alkali (bicarbonate of soda). Using these new skills, you will then create a unique painting on quality paper that they can take home, along with a recipe card for your own future ink-making experiments.

All materials will be provided.

Note: Please bring an apron/old shirt to protect your clothes!
