Code Clock Junior Summer School of Programming – 10th Anniversary at Queen’s University Belfast

Looking for a fun, educational and confidence-building summer activity for your child? The Code Clock Junior Summer School of Programming returns to Queen’s University Belfast, and this year marks our 10th anniversary.

Over the past decade, Code Clock has introduced thousands of young people across Northern Ireland to the world of coding in a way that is engaging, creative and accessible for all abilities.

Designed for primary-aged pupils, the Junior Summer School (6th–10th July) provides an exciting introduction to ICT, coding and problem-solving, all delivered in a supportive and enjoyable environment.

What children will experience:

• Create their own games, animations and simple apps

• Learn the fundamentals of coding and computational thinking

• Explore technology through Minecraft, Roblox, LEGO and robotics

• Gain an introduction to Python programming

• Work collaboratively with other students on creative projects

New for our 10th anniversary:

• Dev Day – a fun, challenge-based day to build skills and confidence

• Code Clock Innovation Lab – children work in teams to design and present their own ideas

• Expo Day – a showcase where students share what they have created
