Silk Painting with Hand Embroidery

In this workshop you will learn how to paint a small picture onto a silk fabric using silk paints. You will also be able to paint a small silk painted card. This workshop is aimed at beginners so don’t worry if you don’t have any previous experience or drawing skills as the tutor will guide you step by step and provide images that you can select from for your picture on the day. Different painting techniques will be taught such as how to blend colours and make various marks on the silk using specialist paints. Whilst the silk paint is drying the tutor will teach you some embroidery stitches which you might want to use to embellish your picture.
