Buggy Ireland Championship to visit Moneyglass

For the first time over 50 crosskart buggies will compete at Moneyglass Estate on Saturday March 28 for round two of the 2026 Buggy Ireland Championship with drivers travelling from across Ireland.

The time trial format event will see competitors, in four different divisions, compete across six runs on the 2-mile course through the concrete roadways of the estate.

Entries include round one winner Cormac Phelan, 2024 champion Kevin Meenagh and last year’s title holder and MV Racing’s Paul Mooney. Isle of Mull visitor Fergus Barlow will make the trip to compete in a Caskart-Hire Casmat - his first attempt at a Buggy Ireland Championship event.

The championship, now in its third year, visits venues across the country with Enniskillen, Galway, Kirkistown and Latton all on the schedule this season.

Gate opens, via Roguery Road, to spectators from 9am with on track action starting at 10am. General admission (cash only) is £10, accompanied under 16 is FREE and a x3 in one car is £25. Parking on site is FREE with catering facilities in the paddock where visitors can meet the drivers.

Spectators must listen to marshal instructions and remain in the viewing area (directions from the paddock), organisers have said, and due to safety reasons no pets are permitted.
