Glengormley Uptown Hoedown

IT’S time to dust off the stetson and pull on your cowboy boots for Newtownabbey’s first ever Uptown Hoedown, the borough’s Country & Western Festival, which takes place in Glengormley from June 10 to 12.

10 June
1pm – 4pm Senior Shindig
Food tasting & Line Dancing (Barron Hall)
Come and get a free Country & Western style lunch and then let your hair down at our line dancing shindig.

11 June

7pm – 9pm Hotdog Hoedown (Barron Hall)
Grab a free hotdog and then strut your stuff at our teen disco & barndance

10-12 June

Uptown Hoedown Treasure Trail
Molly Tenshoes has arrived in town for the annual country and western dance night. Unfortunately all her equipment and clothes have been lost. Locals have found the items and placed them in the shop windows in Glengormley for you to discover. Download the Glengormley Trail To complete the Trail identify the name of the lost items, reveal the
code to locate Molly’s bag, complete the entry form and drop them off in the marquee in Glengormley Park on the 12th June. Winning forms will be drawn at 5pm. Deadline for completed forms is 4:30pm.

PARK & RIDE ON SAT 12th JUNE:

Due to high demand, A Park & Ride has been arranged between Northcott Shopping Centre & Glengormley Park between 12noon & 4pm (minimum time). Please follow signs along Ballyclare Road, Glengormley for directions. There will be NO parking available at Glengormley Park – Carnmoney Rd & Ballyclare Rd entrances. Apologies for any inconvenience.
