The Ulster Orchestra is to host a free Christmas concert for community groups in the Belfast Waterfront on Friday 3 December at 7.45pm.
Community groups are invited to come along and celebrate the festive season with a light-hearted evening of carols and seasonal music with the Orchestra and guests – conductor Christopher Bell, soprano Mary Nelson and Belfast Philharmonic Choir.
Speaking about the concert, Lydia Gamble, Head of Marketing & Development for the Orchestra, said: “We think it’s really important to reach people in the community who wouldn’t normally come along to a live concert. It’s a lovely time of year to run this sort of event and we look forward to opening our doors to a new audience and spreading some Christmas cheer in the community”.
The Christmas Cheer concert is supported by JTI and up to 15 free tickets are available for each community group on a first come, first served basis. They can be booked through the Ulster Orchestra Box Office on 028 9023 9955 or by emailing boxoffice@ulsterorchestra.com (quote Christmas Cheer).
