This Sunday, 7th August, the fun continues when Ward Park plays host to the superb Gypsies of Bohemia. This acoustic jazz quartet who specialise in the “Manouche Jazz” style take to The Bandstand from 3pm to 5pm when their unique-gypsy-style guitar playing is guaranteed to set the tone for a relaxing afternoon in the park!
The group were formed in 2005 when Manchester based jazz guitarist Jim Wallace met Matthew Whitaker of Manchester’s much-loved Gypsy-ska band ‘Whiskycats and began composing and arranging their own material in the gypsy guitar style. Today the band has grown to a four piece and their thrilling live shows are enjoyed by audiences all over the UK and Europe.
