The Ulster Orchestra treats audiences to a very special evening of beautiful music featuring three of the composer Mendelssohn’s most popular pieces for one night only at Theatre at The Mill on Thursday 21st November.
The performance will open with Mendelssohn’s Overture, inspired by a boat visit to the isle of Staffa in 1829 despite the avid traveller’s seasickness on the journey. The ever-popular Violin Concerto will be played by Támas Kocis, who is also the Ulster Orchestra leader and conductor.
To conclude the evening there will be a piece inspired by Mendelssohn’s memory of a trip to Italy. Sunshine and happiness radiate in equal measure.
