Enjoy a wonderful open-air production of Jason & the Argonauts by Off the Ground Theatre Compan at the Bawn of Killyleagh Castle on Saturday 16th August, curtain-up 7.30pm sharp. Adults £11, Senior Citizens £8 and under 21’s £5. Tickets available online or from Picnic Deli,  Killyleagh and at the gate on the evening. Everyone welcome, bring a picnic, rugs or picnic chairs and the family.

Tyrone

Castlecaulfield Show, Vintage Rally and Fun Day this Saturday 16th August will feature flowers, fruit, vegetables, home crafts, live entertainment, refreshments, demonstrations and fun activities. The Manor House and marquees will house all entry exhibits and over 20 craft stalls. Afternoon tea will be served in the ballroom between 1.00pm and 3.45pm with a BBQ also available. The House and show marquee will house 15 sections covering 176 classes and will be open from 1.30pm.  A free shuttle bus will operate within the grounds.

Fermanagh

The spotlight is on Belcoo again as their annual Sports & Festival is about to kick off. It promises to be an exciting event running all week until 17th August with lots of fun for all ages. One of this year’s highlights will be the Rodeo Themed Bar in the marquee which ties in with the Country & Folk night on Saturday 16th August.  A Country Music Disco, Buckin’ Bronco competition and a performance from popular folk band The Rockhill Ramblers promises to entertain.

Derry

Come and see one of Mid-Ulster’s biggest and best car shows on Saturday 16th August at the Mid Ulster Auction Yard Magherafelt (Beside the Castledawson Roundabout).  The show will be hosting a judged Show ‘n’ Shine with prizes in various categories.  This is a family day out for all and includes activities for kids and bouncy inflatables, including entertainment and commentary by the famous DJ Danny Dee.  On show will be some of the country’s best cars and will play host to live motor sport hosted by Magherafelt and District Motor Club.

Armagh

It is Victorian weekend at the Argory. This is your chance to see what really goes on behind closed doors in the Big House. Meet the Housekeeper, the Governess and the Lady’s Maid and enjoy a delightful afternoon tea in the Octagon Room. Children can dress up, join in Victorian games and pick up some treats in the Victorian sweetshop. An experience not to be missed!

Antrim

The UGP practice session will commence on Wednesday 13th August continuing on the morning of Thursday 14th August. Ravara Productions present Aladdin Jr at the Belvoir Players Studio 14th,15th and 16th August. Welcome to Agrabah, City of Enchantment, where every beggar has a story and every camel has a tail! All of your favourite characters are here in this stage adaptation of the Disney hit, including Aladdin, Jasmine, and of course, the Genie. Filled with magic, mayhem, and flying carpet rides, audiences’ spirits will soar with excitement. Most of all, the tuneful, Academy award-winning score with songs including  A Whole New World and Friend Like Me will certainly make this musical a favourite for many years to come!
