Santa is coming to his magical woodland retreat and you could have the opportunity to meet him and his helpers at Ardaluin House, Newcastle. Join his festive workshops, toast marshmallows with his elves and explore the woods before meeting Santa himself. There will be light refreshments, a photo and a present included in the price.  All funds raised through the event will help the charity to continue the great work they do with young people from disadvantaged communities or with varying physical and mental learning difficulties. Opens 13th November.

Armagh

Armagh Theatre Group present Joseph O’Connor’s debut stage play first performed in Dublin by The Pig’s Back Theatre Company in 1995. In her home in Dublin, Moya Doyle is preparing for the funeral mass of her husband Enda. From England and America her children are returning for the sombre occasion. But as the ghosts of the Doyle’s past begin to materialise, the consequences are both profoundly disturbing and memorably comic.  ‘Red Roses And Petrol’ won the In Dublin Magazine Award for best new play. It has been performed in Dublin, London and New York and has been filmed starring Malcolm McDowell. 12th – 14th November at the Market Place Theatre.

They had just about coped with the giants, the tiny people, the floating islands and outlandish inventions. But a world ruled by horses? That’s a different kettle of fish. Join Ardhowen Theatre on Friday 13th November for an uproarious theatrical adventure as Gulliver and his family learn to live together in a strange new world where weird is the new normal. After a run of sell-out theatre performances in 2014, The Bjorn Identity continue their success as one of Ireland’s top tribute shows this Friday 13th November at the Millennium Forum.  Audiences of all ages can discover and re-live the magic of the Swedish super group and their musical legacy that lives… ‘On and On and On’. With stunning handmade replica costumes and a perfect copy of Benny’s famous white Yamaha piano, this show has all the glitz of the 70’s era and is a great party night out!

Antrim

Having just announced that they will support the highly acclaimed ‘Hozier’ on his UK tour early next year, ‘Wyvern Lingo* will headline Atlantic Sessions at Flowerfield Arts Centre, Portstewart on Friday 13th November. ‘Paddy Casey* will also perform a special concert on the Sunday evening at Flowerfield. Featuring over 40 free gigs at various venues throughout Portrush, Portstewart and Portballintrae the festival will run between Thursday 12th and Sunday 15th November. Many of the performances will be FREE to enjoy, with a number of ticketed headline events also featured in the four day programme, available onwww.atlanticsessions.com.

Belfast

Enjoy a night in the fabulous spooktastic Titanic Pump House and dry dock 14th November at their Fright Night event. Experience over 100 years of maritime history, and view the sheer scale while down in the dry dock where the Titanic sat before her ill-fated voyage. Hear the history of Belfast from a unique perspective and learn of many workmen, postmen and other spirits who still ‘hang around’ and make their presence felt!  The Fright Night will begin at 7.30pm right through to 8.00am the following morning. Sleeping bags and warm clothes are a must. Supper and breakfast will be provided and the chance to take part in a paranormal investigation during your stay.
