Coleraine based, First4Printing, is sponsoring the Supersport Race, which will take place on Friday 24th July 2015 in Armoy.
The long established graphic design and printing services company has been printing the Armoy programme since its inception in 2009 and has welcomed this opportunity to be able to give back and support the local event.
Chris Atchison, Director of First4Printing, who is a keen bike fan himself, said; “I’ve been working with the Club for the last number of years and I’ve been impressed by their professionalism, their work ethic and their ability to make things happen.
“In truth, I value them as a customer, and as a firm supporter of the local community. I had been looking for an opportunity to give back locally and the Armoy Road Races was that perfect fit for me and First4Printing.”
In 2014 the Armoy Motorcycle Road Racing Club, for the first year, ran a race on the Friday after practice. This proved a great success with a fantastic and exciting road race, which involved top riders Guy Martin and Keith Amor but it was local rider William Dunlop who took the win clinching a hard fought but tremendous battle for the top step of the podium. This year William will be riding the Chris Dowd/Ivan Curran Racing Caffrey Yamaha YZF- R6.
Thanking Chris Atchison of First4Printing, Clerk of the Course, Bill Kennedy, said, “Chris and First4Printing has been a great supporter of the races and we are very pleased that they have decided to sponsor Friday night’s Supersport Race.
“Friday’s race sees the bigger bikes take to the Armoy roads for the very first competitive race and it sets the tone for the next 11 races. The race also contributes to our ‘Man of the Meeting’ Award which also includes the second Supersport race on Saturday, the Open Race and of course the SGS International ‘Race of Legends’.
“First4Printing is a superb local company that is very much part of the community and now more so than ever they are part of the Armoy community that eats, breathes and sleeps Armoy Road Races!”
The event is part funded by Tourism Northern Ireland and Bike Week runs from Sunday 19th July until Saturday 25th July 2015 with the SGS International ‘Race of Legends’ featuring on the Saturday 25th July 2015.
