PETER KAY Announces Return To Stand-up With First Live Tour in Eight Years

The SSE Arena, Belfast

Sunday 13th January 2019 & Monday 14th January 2019

Tickets go on sale this SUNDAY at 10am

One of Britain’s best loved comedians, the multi award winning actor, writer, director, author and producer Peter Kay, is finally returning to his most successful hobby, stand-up.

His last tour in 2010, which still officially ranks with the ‘Guinness Book of World Records’ as the biggest selling comedy tour of all time, played to over 1.2 million people.

So why a return to stand-up now?

Peter says: ‘I really miss it. I know how lucky I am to be making television series and have really loved these past few years working on Car Share but I miss doing stand-up. As terrifying as it is, when it works there’s nothing more fun and exciting. Plus, a lot has happened in the last eight years, with Trump, Twitter and my Nan getting her front bush trimmed at the age of 96. I can’t wait to get back up on stage’

Peter Kay’s new stand up tour starts April 2018 in Birmingham and visits all major UK and Ireland arenas right through to 2019.

DRAMA DELUGE AT THE MARKET PLACE

Riveting drama continues to dominate the stage at Armagh’s Market Place Theatre.

On Tuesday 21 November, Searchlight Theatre Company present their award winning and critically acclaimed production based on the brilliantly funny classic apologist book by CS Lewis, ‘The Screwtape Letters’. This dazzling production gives a witty insight into the frailties of human nature with a telling accuracy. Screwtape’s aim is to mentor his junior devil Wormwood into tempting their ‘subject’ into a secure damnation. Don’t miss this sparkling adaptation full of perception and mockery and truth. A brilliantly funny masterpiece that received 5 star reviews at The Edinburgh Festival.

Then on Friday 24 November, it’s the turn of Rise Productions and their acclaimed production of ‘The Good Father’. It’s New Year’s Eve, at a house party like any other, in a suburb like any other. Two very different strangers meet, each looking for a new start and to shake off the disappointments of the past.
