Deadline looms for exhibiting artists!

Now seen as one of the leading art galleries outside Belfast, the Alley Theatre and Art Gallery is currently being overwhelmed by artists submitting work for consideration to exhibit in the Strabane venue . If you are an artist looking to exhibit at this wonderful art gallery, John Kerr, Alley Theatre manager stated today, “Don’t delay in submitting your exhibition applications, as the deadline for entries is only weeks away. Artists have until April 16th to produce an artist submission, which will then be reviewed by our panel of art critics.”

From the international artist Felim Egan, the highly respected UTV Art Collection, celebrated Irish glass-sculptor Sean Campbell to local artists like local photographer Raymond McCarron and Strule Art Group, the Alley has exhibited a wide variety of work. Now the Alley is seeking new artists to join the list of esteemed artists who have exhibited at the Alley Theatre and submit an application for exhibition slots, which are available from September 2010 up until July 2011. For more information on what is required or for an application pack, please contact  Jacqui Doherty at the Alley Theatre on tel: 028 7188 4760 or email jdoherty@strabanedc.com for a submission pack.

“For artist’s looking to see the space available at the gallery we advise them to check out the Alley’s Gallery 360’ online tour, which can be viewed via our website at www.alley-theatre.com or why not pop down and see the new exhibition by Irish artist, Barbara Freeman, currently on display until April 10th” concluded the Alley’s manager.
