The wife of Lord James Shaw gave birth to a baby girl, much to the dismay of her husband who wanted a son. Lord Shaw snatched the baby from his wife and locked her in a room at the top of the castle. While trying to escape to search for her child, the theory is that Lady Isabella fell to her death from the tower window.
